Retreat in April 2009 - Darlene See (Hoonah, AK) quietly works on her Chilkat robe<\/p><\/div>\n<p>How many of you know about Evergreen Longhouse?\u00a0\u00a0 I do not remember how I found out about them, but two years ago, I received a couple of grants from them that helped support my travel to two projects that I spearheaded:\u00a0 1).\u00a0 the Chilkat Weavers&#8217; Presentation and Demonstration at the 2009 Clan Conference in Juneau in March, and directly following the demonstration was the Chilkat Weavers&#8217; Retreat in April in Haines, Alaska; and 2).\u00a0 the purchase of warp yarns to begin my 6th robe, a combination robe of Chilkat and Ravenstail.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1907\" style=\"width: 510px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.clarissarizal.com\/blogblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/Retreat_09_Weavers.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1907\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1907\" title=\"Retreat_09_Weavers\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarissarizal.com\/blogblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/Retreat_09_Weavers.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"393\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.clarissarizal.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/Retreat_09_Weavers.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.clarissarizal.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/Retreat_09_Weavers-300x235.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1907\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Chilkat Weavers&#39; Demonstration at the 2009 Clan Conference in the lobby of Centennial Hall  in Juneau, Alaska<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The Longhouse is mainly run by a team of three women, Tina Kuckkahn-Miller, the Executive Director;
