these include the sharing of songs and dance through the various dance groups from Whitehorse, Carcross, Atlin, Teslin and other towns about Southeast Alaska (i.e. Yakutat!), a hearty breakfast and nightly feast for each of three days open to all who attend, an artist market, a food market, a tent just for stick-gambling, artist demos and classes, but also the hands-on making of the practical things like fish traps, fish-fileting, smoking moose hide, cedar hat making, Chilkat and Ravenstail weaving, and of course, frying bannock!<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3162\" style=\"width: 510px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.clarissarizal.com\/blogblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/JackieFishTrapEnd.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3162\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3162\" title=\"JackieFishTrapEnd\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarissarizal.com\/blogblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/JackieFishTrapEnd.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.clarissarizal.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/JackieFishTrapEnd.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.clarissarizal.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/JackieFishTrapEnd-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-3162\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Glued &#8220;sinew&#8221; hold the ends of the fish trap<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I&#8217;ve just included a few photos to show you what you missed.\u00a0 Teslin&#8217;s Celebration is held during the third weekend in June on the &#8220;off&#8221; orange peels were burned to create a burnt orange color of the moose hide.
