other times it&#8217;s just brothers Rick and Tim.\u00a0 This time it&#8217;s a combination that hasn&#8217;t ever happened before&#8230;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_504\" style=\"width: 510px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.clarissarizal.com\/blogblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/Family_Breakfast.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-504\" class=\"size-full wp-image-504\" title=\"Family_Breakfast\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarissarizal.com\/blogblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/Family_Breakfast.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.clarissarizal.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/Family_Breakfast.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.clarissarizal.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/Family_Breakfast-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-504\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Irene calls for another Sunday morning breakfast at Donna&#39;s:  Betty, Lily, Ishmael, Dee, Rick, Dan, Mom...and I (not pictured cuz I&#39;m taking the photo)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I hadn&#8217;t ever noticed how much my mother enjoys her meals more when someone is eating with her &#8211; huh?\u00a0 &#8211; the simplest of things that go unawares for many years until a person&#8217;s life gets simplified!\u00a0 She doesn&#8217;t want much anymore.\u00a0 She just appreciates her every breath at hand. \u00a0 And because it was another rare, sunny day in Juneau, she wanted to put flowers on the graves, to visit the memories of her mother, brothers, niece, sister and husband, knowing that any day she will be joining them.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_505\" style=\"width: 510px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.clarissarizal.com\/blogblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/Grave_Roses.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-505\" class=\"size-full wp-image-505\" title=\"Grave_Roses\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarissarizal.com\/blogblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/Grave_Roses.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.clarissarizal.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/Grave_Roses.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.clarissarizal.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/Grave_Roses-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-505\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Beautiful grave roses<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Three weeks before my father passed away in Decmeber 2008, my father requested that we put 5 red roses on his grave in memory of him along with his 4 best friends who were blown to smithereens in a tank during World War II in the Phillipines.\u00a0 Dad said he would have been in that tank had he been accepted into the Phillipine Army &#8211;
