Louise Dangeli weaves Chilkat — 1991<\/p><\/div>\n

Every late night<\/span><\/p>\n

He would take himself down<\/span><\/p>\n

off the cross<\/span><\/p>\n

tucking the nails neatly<\/span><\/p>\n

into the chambers of creation<\/span><\/p>\n

breathing in the earth<\/span><\/p>\n

through\u00a0His feet<\/span><\/p>\n

a tender smile<\/span><\/p>\n

accentuated\u00a0His grace<\/span><\/p>\n

as He touched what She touched<\/span><\/p>\n

as He saw what She saw<\/span><\/p>\n

as He heard what She prayed each day<\/span><\/p>\n

for the love and safety and peace<\/span><\/p>\n

for Her family, friends and all She knew<\/span><\/p>\n

near and far<\/span><\/p>\n

He answered with His blessing<\/span><\/p>\n

and presence<\/span><\/p>\n

by dawn He would climb back up<\/span><\/p>\n

to His position<\/span><\/p>\n

though with a lighter heart<\/span><\/p>\n

knowing fully well Her world<\/span><\/p>\n

They created<\/span><\/p>\n

was good<\/span><\/p>\n

Louise Dangeli “walked into the woods” on Valentine’s Day. \u00a0She was one of my very first Chilkat weaving students 25 years ago in 1991, with her daughter Arlene and Carol McCormick (grand-daughter of the McCormick herbs\/spices). \u00a0 She was one of the most outspoken women I have met who\u00a0did so with soft-spoken, firm grace, so when I found out that one of her clan emblems is the Beaver, that said everything. \u00a0I have noticed that grace is a trait of those born in the Beaver clan. \u00a0We will miss you, Louise, though many of us are learning your grace.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
